My Back Hurts!

Always stretch before doing anything physical!

I got up this morning and went for a skate in the cemetery as it’s got some nice surface to practice on and now i’m paying for it with a killer back ache.

What’s New?

Yesterday at work messages went round that everyone had to move their cars from a particular car park, when I asked why I didn’t get an answer. It turns out that it had something to do with an anonymous package and there were rumours and the police and the bomb squad were on site. I didn’t hear any explosions so it was probably a false alarm. You can’t be too careful!

Had a most warming and crazy weekend at C’s Dad’s 50th, Saturday was spent setting up, skating with J and in the evening although the alcohol levels were relatively low we (J and I) gave the guests an amusing show of dance related tomfoolery. The band held their own, Be thrashed out a couple of songs with them so good effort to her and the BBQ guys cooked up some good food. Although there were around 80 people there I can only remember talking to the family, it was still fun to say the least. Sunday was spent relaxing at Granny’s enjoying an epic beef roast as always and then spent 5 hours getting home…which sucked!

As a side note, I wrote down all the lines that made me chuckle at the party:

- Grows, Particles, Hair
- Robots can’t click
- Your barn is giving birth to old people
- Gottcha bum
- Where’s brainbow, taste the brainbow
- I’d marry the one that’s most aggressive
- You’re a legend, i’m a slave
- The racist is wasted…THE RACIST IS WASTED!!

There was also some interesting conversations going about being racist…I wasn’t impressed, there is just no justification.

I also knew before I went that it wasn’t going to be weird between me and C (we broke up 2 months ago), in fact although we didn’t talk a great deal apart from in the car we seemed to get on as best friends should…which was nice.

Thoughts and Pondering?

I’ve been reading a lot about consciousness and one book in particular Conversations on Consciousness by Susan Blackmore has been raising some good points. Is there even a Hard Problem? What is pain? How does objectivity lead to subjectivity? Will subjectivity be explained by Neural Correlates of Consciousness (NCC)?

Until Next Time…
